Belay Enterprises was started in 1995 by a group of local businessmen, community leaders and pastors who wanted to make a difference for the urban community. They believed that by recycling materials that were previously thrown away they could change lives and provide opportunity for the disadvantaged. Out of this vision grew Bud’s Warehouse, a career and life-skills training program for individuals rebuilding lives from addiction, homelessness, or prison. Over the last nine years, Bud’s has grown to be one of the most successful and popular home improvement stores in the country. With the fantastic support of Denver Metro area bargain home improvement shoppers, Bud’s has been able to fund the start-up of three addition Belay Faith Ventures. Over the last two years, Baby Bud’s has quickly become the Metro Area’s best baby and children’s thrift store while employing and job-training disadvantaged single-mothers rebuilding lives from addiction, domestic violence, sexual abuse and prison. This past winter, Belay started the Good Neighbor Garage, an automotive training and car placement program for urban residents rebuilding lives. Finally, Belay Enterprises runs the Ascent Venture Program, an urban micro-lending program for businesses that seek to create opportunity for disadvantaged neighborhoods and employ the urban poor. In summary, Belay’s four faith-ventures seek to touch lives for Jesus through jobs. Our
